Level Two – LV1215

It’s hard to determine the exact color, feel, and texture on a screen. With a wallpaper sample, you can see the wallpaper in your own home, in your own lighting, and alongside the furniture, flooring, and other details already in the room. This makes it easier to get a sense of what actually feels right before you place your order. We usually ship the sample within one business day.

Yes, in many cases it’s possible to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, but the surface must be in good condition. The wallpaper already on the wall should be securely attached, smooth, and free of bubbles or loose seams. If the old wallpaper is peeling off the wall, has a heavy texture, or consists of multiple layers, it’s usually better to remove it first. You should not wallpaper over vinyl wallpaper; it must be stripped before applying new wallpaper.

Before you begin, it’s important to clean the wall and check that the surface is even. Any damage or unevenness should be spackled and sanded. Dark or heavily patterned wallpaper can sometimes show through light-colored wallpaper, in which case applying a primer coat is a good idea.
If you have non-woven wallpaper that’s in good condition, it’s often no problem to wallpaper directly over it. If you’re unsure about the surface, it may be worth testing it on a small area first.

In short: Yes, it’s often possible to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, but the result will only be as good as the surface you’re applying it to. The better the preparation, the nicer the final result.
