From Forgotten Sketches

Hidden Treasures ’s wallpapers have been beloved for over 100 years. The collections feature several unique stories. The Oxford Union pattern, for example, is based on a ceiling painting in the library created by William Morris as early as 1876 and now recreated as wallpaper for the first time. Other patterns have emerged from embroideries, textiles, and original sketches that had never before made their way onto a wall. That is precisely what makes William Morris wallpaper so special. It doesn’t feel like it was created to fit a trend. It feels like it was created to last a lifetime.

Here you can read about the story behind William Morris's forgotten patterns.
