A Poetic Interpretation of Life

Hand-drawn by: Lina Schnaufer

In the “ Fägring ” collection, Lina Schnaufer has drawn inspiration from life and the life cycle. “ Fägring ” is a collection about life in all its splendor and transience; about triumphs and setbacks, growth, and maturation. Humanity as a seed and as the fruit on the apple tree that clings on through the last autumn storm. The “ Fägring ” collection offers a poetic interpretation of life, using flowers and vegetation as its language and medium.

In Lina’s designs, you’ll often find familiar flora and organic shapes—but with a twist. Drawing on an inner mental image of a particular flower or plant allows her to create her own interpretation of it. In this way, Lina’s patterns often exist in a liminal space between fantasy and reality—yet they always remain close to her and reflect a personal perspective. She sees the pattern repeat as a touch of magic, where something small can quickly become big, and where the slightest shifts in nuance can transform the atmosphere of an entire home.
